I'm finally trying to seriously play Sekiro and I'm ngl it's extremely hard if you're used to Soulsborne but I think that reveals kind of a cool philosophy on From Software's part
DS players relied too much on shields, so Bloodborne was designed to be as aggressive as possible. DS players also invented an entire fanboy honor code where you can't cheese bosses or heal too much or you're not a "real" Souls fan, so Sekiro is a stealth-heavy game where if you try to fight with honor you're 10,000% dead. You are encouraged to do things like throw ashes in your enemy's eyes. It's great
Basically they're acutely aware of when the community starts getting comfortable with an assumption and then they shake that assumption up. A+++ design philosophy and this is why I love these developers
